Recovery after a hospital stay

Physiotherapy after illness and surgery

Road to recovery after a hospital stay

“How will I manage now I can’t move around like before?”
“Will I cope without the staff being just a call away?”
“Will I ever get back to feeling my normal self again?”

All of these questions might sound familiar if you or a loved one have recently had a hospital stay. The prospect of returning home after being in hospital can bring on a multitude of mixed emotions. We know that whilst so many of our clients count down the days to being discharged home, niggling worries and anxieties can also play a big part in what can be a daunting process.

So many clients return home at a lower level of functioning compared to before their admission, but we strongly believe this isn’t something you have to just accept! We are here to support you or your loved one on that road to recovery after ANY illness, to help you get back on your feet and back to doing the things that make you happy.

Physiotherapy can help you recover at home and regain your strength, balance and mobility. We can tailor your input to suit you and your goals, no matter how big or small. We work with clients with all levels of functioning, from those with very limited independent mobility who are mostly nursed in bed to those who can function independently but still want to step their activity levels up a gear.

If you’re in any doubt about whether we can help you, get in touch today!
